Somnora is a mobile application developed by Nodvera ("we", "us") that plays white noise and sleep sounds. This policy explains what information the app does and does not process, and what choices you have.
The short version:
None. Somnora does not require an account, does not operate a backend server, and does not transmit your listening habits, your saved mixes, or any personal information to Nodvera. We have no technical means of seeing what you listen to or how you use the app.
Somnora keeps a small amount of data locally on your device, in a local database (Hive):
This data never leaves your device. Uninstalling the app deletes all of it.
All sleep sounds ship inside the app as bundled audio files. Somnora plays audio; it does not record. The app does not request or use microphone access, does not listen to your environment, and does not analyse your sleep or any sound around you.
To keep playback running while your screen is off, the app uses a media playback foreground service and keeps the device awake for audio. This is used purely for playback and involves no data collection.
Somnora shows banner, interstitial, and rewarded ads served by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and process, in accordance with Google's policies:
Google may use this information to serve personalized (interest-based) ads. This processing is carried out by Google, not by Nodvera — we never receive this data. For details, see Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses data from apps that use its services.
Ads require an internet connection. If your device is offline, the sounds still play normally — no app functionality depends on ads loading.
You can limit or reset ad personalization at the device level at any time:
You can also visit Google Ad Settings. Choosing non-personalized ads does not limit any Somnora feature.
You may optionally watch a rewarded ad to unlock a temporary ad-free period. The reward is recorded as an expiry timestamp stored locally on your device. No purchase, account, or personal information is involved.
Somnora is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children. Ad content and consent handling follow Google's policies for the regions where the app is available.
Because your settings and mixes stay on your device, they are protected by your device's own security — passcode, OS-level encryption, and app sandboxing. Network traffic generated by the advertising SDK is encrypted in transit by Google.
Since Somnora stores no personal data on any server, privacy rights such as access, deletion, and portability are exercised directly on your device:

We may update this policy from time to time, for example when SDKs or store requirements change. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be reflected in the app or on this page.
